Hi there,

after seeing those grasping mail's with the fractured mod "100% global defense" and ilvl. 86 EXPLODE in view of price, i thought about trying to make one myself.

So far i got this:

You need to sell 60 Breach rings to a vendor and will get a grasping mail in return.

Similar to the Loreweave recipe, you will get a unidentified mail.

The Itemlevel of the Mail is determined by the Itemlevel of rings used in the recipe. I assume that the lowest itemlevel found among the rings will be the itemlevel of the Grasping Mail.

My question now:

How can you make sure, that you get only Chayula mods on the Mail?

Using only Chayula Breach rings with ilvl 86? And if YES can you distinguish which breach rings dropped in which breaches?

Or does it not matter, which domain the breach rings were dropping, the result will always be a random moded grasping mail, that will have a random mod fractured (the fractured part is afaik limited to ilvl 86 grasping mail recipe).

Anyway IF someone is nice enough to share, let me know!

Pretty sure you can't force a mod, most grasping mails are vendored immediately but some of the more powerful or specific niche mods are pretty valuable. As far as i'm aware you still have to fracture the mod too which is obviously expensive.

the global defences is obviously the best though that mod is nutty and worth the effort.

As far as I am aware, item level 86 grasping mails have a fractured modifier, so at least that step can be skipped. This is why item level 86 rings are so much more expensive than the lower item level ones even though only a few additional modifiers are available.

I do not think there is a way to influence which special modifier appears on the item however.

So i have like a 1 in 5 chance that its chayula mod present and then another 1 in 7 that it is the chayula prefix global defense?

So it would be around a chance of 1 in 35 ? (Assuming domains are equally are distributed and after that mods are equally distributed)

Or is it more like 1 out of all mods available (tul, esh, uul-netol, xoph and chayula)?

The modifiers have different weights according to poedb. Since they are not listed in a grouped way, I would assume that the mod is just rolled randomly from this pool rather than deciding whose mod it is first.

If the Breachlord is rolled first, the chance would be 1 / 4.249 rather than 1 / 7. If the mod is selected randomly from any Breachlord, the chance would be 1 / 16.999.

Wrong. ilvl 86 is not able to be drop from T16 map and only drops from Breach Domain run which is expensive so that ring is one of the side income
