Belle Delphine is a South African-born-British internet personality, model, and YouTuber. She is known for her cosplay modeling on social networking platforms. She got extensive media coverage after she sold her bathwater through her online store.

Belle Delphine was born as ‘Mary-Belle Kirschner’ on Saturday, October 23 (age 20 years; as in 2019), in Cape Town, South Africa. Later, she moved to the United Kingdom with her family. She went to Priestlands School in Lymington, England. At the age of fourteen, she dropped out of her school and started working as a waitress, nanny, and barista.

She’s had her Instagram account since 2015. In 2018, she began to post cosplay related content on her Instagram account with the portrayal of the characters such as Disney princesses, Harley Quinn, D.Va (of the video game Overwatch), and Princess Zelda (from The Legend of Zelda video game series) in the manga style. Her content has frequent use of ‘Ahegao,’ a Japanese term symbolizing facial expressions, which are exaggerated, eyes-rolled-back expressions indicating an orgasm (often featured in adult anime).

In March 2018, Belle launched a Patreon account, where her supporters could pay her monthly and receive access to her additional content. A website noted that a fan spent $2,500 in exchange for a personal Skype conversation with Belle. Her Instagram account gained huge popularity, and by November 2018, she had more than 4.2M followers. On July 19, 2019, it was reported that her Instagram account was banned after a few people ran a reporting campaign against her. Later, an Instagram spokesperson said that her Instagram account shut down because it violated the community guidelines. In June 2020, she posted a picture on the Instagram account and announced that she had recovered her account.
YouTube Channel
In 2016, she started her YouTube channel and uploaded a makeup tutorial. She did not post much on her YouTube channel, but the videos she uploaded became viral. On 4 November 2019, she uploaded her fourth video and took a break from the internet. In June 2020, Belle announced her return to the internet by uploading a YouTube music video ‘I’M BACK,’ which is a parody of the song “Gooba” by American rapper 6ix9ine. The video also served as a promo for her newly launched Instagram, TikTok, and OnlyFans accounts.

In June 2019, she posted on Instagram and pledged to open a Pornhub account, if her post reaches 1M likes. Within a short time, her post reached 1.8M views, and she fulfilled her promise. She uploaded 12 videos on Pornhub, which had misleading titles and thumbnails. After this, she faced huge criticism from her fans. One of the videos ‘PEWDIEPIE goes all the way INSIDE Belle Delphine,’ in which she was seen eating a picture of PewDiePie (a famous YouTuber), gained huge attention from the public and also PewDiePie.

On July 1, 2019, Belle launched her online store with her product “GamerGirl Bath Water.” The product was sold as the remains of her bathwater and was priced at $30 (£24). According to her, the thought of seeking her bathwater came from continued fan comments on her posts saying ‘they would drink her bathwater.’ Belle added the note upon selling her product, initially. Her note read:
This water is not for drinking and should only be used for sentimental purposes.”
The bathwater’s first batch was sold in three days and became a huge commercial success for her.

Belle was director of three companies: Innovative Artists, Plain Jane Investments, and Belle Store, which were incorporated between October 2018 and July 2019. Innovative Artists and Plain Jane Investments was also linked with a person named Joshua John Gray.
Controversies
- On October 4, 2019, H3 Podcast co-host Ethan Klein gave a theory that Belle may have gone through legal trouble for posting her bathwater product. Ethan claimed,
Shipping bathwater, I don’t think is legal. So all of a sudden the UK government’s like, ‘You’re selling what?’ You can’t send used bathwater, or urine, or whatever else she’s sending.”
Following which, on October 7, she posted a mugshot with watermark of Metropolitan Police. Many suspected that the post was to troll Ethan’s theory. She later claimed that she was arrested for spray painting a girl’s car for stealing her hamster at a party. [2]Mashable

Another website claimed that there was no human DNA in her bathwater. Also, a twitter user asserted that her bathwater was causing herpes outbreak. - In January 2019, an adult content creator, Indigo White, alleged Belle used other sex workers’ nude photos and represented them as her own while she was underage. To put weight on her allegations, Indigo shared a video, which contained screenshots of conversations between Belle and another model Minty Darling (who resembles Delphine and is also a cosplayer known for her Ahegao content) in which Belle seems to be apologizing for stealing Minty’s nude pictures and marking them as her own.
